When I say, "This place is a zoo!" I mean it most affectionately! I'm always stepping around animals or petting something the girls have brought in. The critters keep life interesting. They do add a level of stress too; I can't deny that. However, we do enjoy having animals.
This hen, Anita, recently hatched her own little chick under the back deck. It's positively delightful to see her teaching "Astrid" how to be a chicken. She catches bugs and lets her little chick eat them out of her mouth. Let me tell you, that was fun having mason jars of collected bugs sitting on the kitchen counter.
We always have lots of bunny love around theses parts. This little one has been stumping the girls, because he's technically a different color than what we have had before. They're getting it figured out though. He's caused many a conversation on bunny coloring.
Bunny personalities are so fun though!
The Blossoms love calling baby bunnies "Floof-floofs." It seems fluffy just isn't descriptive enough.
Jake was happy, happy, happy when we ventured up to the cabin not too long ago, because the creek is his happy place.
So, here's Tom, the barn cat, quite obviously not living in the barn. However, since he spends all night out catching critters, we indulge his Rajah habits.
We were tickled with this pair of does (females). One had a white star on her forehead. That's not a showable marking, but it sure was unique!
The Boys. Living the high life.
Need I say more?
