We ran up to our cabin last Friday. It was a pleasant day of soaking in all things cabin.
Saying yes to "Mom, will you _______?"
Eating copious amounts of kettle corn.
"Sloppin" in the creek. I was breaking in my brand new red "crocs."
Fishing - complete with Blossom1 catching a huge sucker fish!
Toads, toads, and more toads! We took the girls to a new-to-them fishing hole and there was an abundance of toads and bullfrogs! Their pleasant bass line symphony lazily played along the breezes while we baked in the sun and tempted the fish to come home for supper.
Exploring the trails and holes. The creek is always changing. Sometimes we approve of the spring flooding's remodeling and sometimes we don't. If we don't, we wait for next year's flooding, to see what will change next time.
We were technically there to mow the grass, but we think that cabin life is the best life -
even if it's only for a day!
