I mentioned to a dear friend that power outages have usually been pretty common in our Hollow. She shared this cool tip with me.
After you use up all the detergent in those big spiffy laundry detergent containers that have spigots on them, rinse them out really well. Then, fill them with water and store until a power outage comes upon you.
Once the power is out, park the container of water over the edge of your kitchen or bathroom sink and use for hand washing!
